DESCRIPTION:Meet Author\, Mom and Illustrator Zachary Calinda\nat the GROUCHY FROG STORYWALK® event\nSaturday\, June 21\, 2pm at the Emerson Resort.\nYoung readers\, come take a walk through the pages of The Grouchy Frog\,\nrooting for the animals and bugs as they try to cheer up their grouchy neighbor! \n\nAuthor\, Moma will be on-hand to introduce everyone to her amazing collection of\nbugs.\nIllustrator\, Zachary Calinda joins us to add to the fun!\nEmerson Activities will be hosting a “Create Your Own Bug” activity.\n\n________________ \nFor three weeks only\, a story will emerge as children and their caregivers wind along the Brookside Wander nature trail. Read The Grouchy Frog\, by local author Moma\, while exploring the Emerson’s native plant preserve. Each page of the book is mounted on a sign\, allowing participants to read the story at their own pace as they stroll along the path\, encouraging kids and adults to read together\, be active\, and enjoy nature all at the same time!  Come Saturday June 21 at 2pm to meet the author\, Moma herself! \nNote that this is a self-guided activity that is open to the public free of charge from dawn to dusk. \nThe StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Montpelier Vermont. But don’t let that scare you…the hike is not that difficult! Led by our guide\, Jess\, her two young stepdaughters\, and friendly pup\, Muppet. \nThis moderate hike is 5 miles round trip. There is climbing involved and some rugged terrain\, but children aged 6+ should have no problem completing this hike.
