Read The Grouchy Frog\, by local author Moma\, while exploring the Emerson’s native plant preserve. Each page of the book is mounted on a sign\, allowing participants to read the story at their own pace as they stroll along the path\, encouraging kids and adults to read together\, be active\, and enjoy nature all at the same time!  Come Saturday June 21 at 2pm to meet the author\, Moma herself! \nNote that this is a self-guided activity that is open to the public free of charge from dawn to dusk. \nThe StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Montpelier Vermont. DESCRIPTION:Once again we’ll be following the traditional 2.5 mile loop through and around the Phoenicia. Last year we had over 300 participants and we hope that this event will continue to grow. We’ve figured out new ways to streamline registration and expand our marketing reach. We’ve also recruited a new member to the planning team\, found new promotion channels\, and are planning new events like a costume and dance contest. The show’s title was inspired by Cline’s letters to Seger\, which were consistently signed “Love ALWAYS… Patsy Cline.” Tales of Patsy’s life on the road are told with down-home country humor and brought to vibrant life through her music. Seger supplies a narrative while Cline floats in and out of the set singing tunes that made her famous— “Anytime”\, “Walkin’ After Midnight”\, “She’s Got You”\, “Sweet Dreams”\, and “Crazy” — to name a few. \nDirected By Ovi Vargas \nStarring \nErin Hebert as Patsy Cline \nRebecca Brown Adelman as Louise Seger \nand a LIVE HONKY TONK BAND! \nRoman Pietrs – Rhythm Guitar \nAllen Vella – Bass \nDave “Ace” Case – Lead Guitar \nStephen Olenski – Drums \nCarrie Bradley – Violin \nJenni Cawein – Piano \nErin is an actress\, singer\, voice actress\, and fight choreographer based in Poughkeepsie. Originally from Holyoke\, Massachusetts\, Erin graduated from Yale in 2018 before moving to the Hudson Valley\, and she’s been hooked on the area ever since. Favorite stage roles include Fraulein Kost in Cabaret\, Mrs. Wormwood in Matilda\, Natalie in Next to Normal\, Jenny in Boy\, Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet\, and Shakespeare in Something Rotten. Her most prominent voice acting role featured her as FBI agent Alexandria Thoman in the New York Times podcast “The Daily”\, acting alongside Broadway alum Stephen Pasquale. She is excited to expand her menagerie of voices in this show. \nRebecca Brown Adelman’s local acting credits include: Jane in Richard Nelson’s Sweet and Sad\, Agatha in Jen Silverman’s The Moors both with Performing Arts of Woodstock\, Sarah Bernhardt in Theresa Rebeck’s Bernhardt/Hamlet at the Center for Performing Arts Rhinebeck\, Julia Gibbs in Our Town and Tess in Jordan Harrison’s Marjorie Prime both at the Phoenicia Playhouse. Beyond acting\, Rebecca is an applied theatre practitioner\, writer\, director\, and improviser. While living in Colorado\, she was a longtime ensemble member of improvisational theatre companies Playback Theatre West and One Act. She is the co founder of a theatre for social change consulting company called Affinity Arts Consulting and travels around the country using theatre to facilitate dialogues and opportunities for communities to address important social justice issues.
