August 29 – A Butterfly is Patient
This will be the FOURTH in a series of 6 readtivity events!
Join librarian Christina for a FREE read aloud and hands-on art and crafting activity!
This event will be taking place at the Phoenicia Farmer’s Market which is located directly across the street from the Phoenicia Post Office. 10:00am to 2:00pm
We will be reading “A Butterfly Is Patient” by Dianna Aston and crafting with attendees afterward. Phoenicia staff will show artists how to set up the provided materials to create their own butterfly (complete with antennas!) and color/decorate them to their hearts content.
Each participant will receive a “readtivity” bag including:
– “A Butterfly is Patient” by Dianna Aston
– White Tissue Paper
– A Clothespin
– A black pipe cleaner
This 6 week series is sponsored by the Mid-Hudson Library System through an Early Literacy grant.
You may join in one readtivity, several, or all! Be sure to check on our website and Facebook page for more details.
NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED!
Parents are requested to stay with their child(ren) during these events.
