Forever Wild Guides, a service of Storehouse, will be offering a family-friendly hike up to Slide Mountain Slide Mountain- the tallest mountain in the Catskills! But don’t let that scare you…the hike is not that difficult! Led by our guide, Jess, her two young stepdaughters, and friendly pup, Muppet.

This moderate hike is 5 miles round trip. There is climbing involved and some rugged terrain, but children aged 6+ should have no problem completing this hike. The environment will be fun and supportive and nobody will be left behind, so join us!

• The cost: $50 per family, which includes one ticket on our trail shuttle that leaves from Phoenicia and the Emerson Resort and Hotel.

• The time: 11:30am is when the hike starts at the Slide Mountain trail head off of Rt.47
  • Slide Mountain DEC parking lot is ~9.5 miles off Rt. 47 south
  • If you are taking the shuttle please see shuttle below – it will pick you up and drop you off in time for the 1130 start

Shuttle schedule:

Departs the Emerson at 10:40am
Departs 60 Main St. in Phoenicia at 10:55am
Departs the Slide Mountain trail head at 4:10pm
Arrives in Phoenicia at 4:40pm
Arrives at the Emerson at 4:50pm
